What Are Fairies

         Oxford English Dictionary Definition

Fairy is a class of being of diminutive size, who in popular belief, possess magical powers. A very simpler definition would be:

    “Fairies are  Supernatural Humanoids”

Fairies are nature spirits, rooted in the soil of their native country.

Fairy folklore has several different origins for these beings. One belief is that the fairies were angels who stayed neutral in the great celestial battle between Archangel Michael and Lucifer. It suggests that when Lucifer and his crew of angels were cast into hell, the question arose as to what would be done with those angels who remained neutral. It was decided that those angels would be banished to earth.

An enchanted and beautiful kingdom was placed below the surface of middle earth. It is believed that fairies inhabit this kingdom at a point where the civilized world and nature intersect.

Fairy stories allow you to believe that anything is possible. It is a time when we can let go of the fact that everything must be explained. It is a time to simply read, relax and enjoy.
